Zombie Pet Video: Turn Your Dog or Cat Into a Zombie

The zombie pet video is the AI zombie trend with your dog or cat as the one who turned. Choose Pet in the generator, put a photo of yourself on the left (you hold the gun) and a photo of your pet on the right. In the 15-second zombie trend film your pet comes through a farmhouse doorway with milky eyes and matted fur, you drop the gun and open your arms, it leaps, and it lands in your arms in a sunny meadow, healthy again.

One zombie trend film costs 12 credits at 720p. The frames here are from our own zombie trend test renders of 8 and 9 October 2026, with an AI-made woman and an AI-made golden retriever. We also rendered a grey tabby cat twice; how that went is below.

How to do the AI zombie trend with your dog or cat

  1. Choose Pet. The right slot now asks for your dog or cat.
  2. Left photo: you, or whoever holds the gun. One person, face to the camera.
  3. Right photo: your pet, one animal, head and some of the body in view.
  4. Keep the start settings (Seedance 2.0 Mini, 720p, 16:9, 12 credits) or pick 9:16 for the zombie trend on TikTok and Reels, then press the button.

In the AI zombie trend the pet is always the one who turned. It cannot hold the gun, and there is no version with two pets: the left photo is a person, the right photo is one dog or cat.

What your dog or cat looks like as a zombie

In the farmhouse the zombie trend prompt asks for milky white eyes with no pupils, matted dirty fur with patches of grey skin showing through, a torn ear and bared teeth. It also asks to keep the same breed, size, coat colour and markings as your photo, and for no blood and no wounds. In the meadow your pet is healthy again, with a clean coat and bright eyes.

Our golden retriever kept its colour, its face and its size in both scenes of the zombie trend film, and got the milky eyes in all three renders with the current pet description (8 and 9 October). That is one breed. A pug, a husky or a black cat may come out differently.

Cats are less sure in the zombie trend. In both of our cat renders on 9 October the grey tabby kept its stripes and its face but also its green eyes; the zombie part was a snarl and bared teeth. In the first cat render the last shot also showed two copies of the woman with the cat between them. We rewrote the pet film’s last shot the same day (she hugs her pet to her face, and is the only person in it), and the next cat render and the next dog render each had one woman.

Our render

Why our first zombie dog looked like a normal dog

Our first AI zombie trend pet render, on 8 October, asked for “matted dirty fur, clouded pale eyes, bared teeth”. The dog came back with clean brown eyes and a snarl. It looked like an angry golden retriever, not a zombie.

People recognise a zombie by the eyes first, and a dog’s fur hides grey skin, so we spelled both out: “milky white clouded eyes with no pupils” and “patches of grey skin showing through”, plus a torn ear. The next render, the same day, gave the dog white, pupil-less eyes and grey patches in the fur. Left: before the change. Right: after.

Shot 3 before and after the prompt change, both rendered on 8 October 2026 at 720p: brown eyes and a snarl (left), milky white eyes (right).

Pet photos that work for the AI zombie trend

  • The whole head and some of the body. A nose pressed to the lens hides the ears and the size of the animal.
  • Eyes open and visible. The zombie look starts with the eyes.
  • Daylight, no flash. Flash turns eyes green or white, and fur loses its colour.
  • One animal. With two in the photo, the model has to choose.
  • No costume or sunglasses on the pet. They hide the face the zombie look is drawn on.

The same file rules apply as for people in the zombie trend: JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC, at least 300 px on each side, up to 25 MB. Use a photo of your own pet, or one whose owner said yes.

The zombie trend leap into your arms

The best moment of the zombie trend with a pet is the leap. In shot 5 your pet runs in from the left and jumps; in shot 6 the same jump continues into the meadow and lands in your arms. In our pet render of 9 October the farmhouse faded into the meadow in a short dissolve while the dog was still in the air, then the woman caught it and spun it around. The three frames below are mid-air in the room, the dissolve and the hug.

Like the people version of the zombie trend, the leap came about a second and a half later than the prompt asks, and in the wide shot of the jump the dog’s fur already looked clean. The close-ups were the zombie part.

Our 16:9 pet render of 9 October 2026: the dog in mid-air in the farmhouse (1), the dissolve into the meadow (2), the hug (3).

FAQ

Can I do the AI zombie trend with my cat?

Yes, Pet takes a cat. In our two cat renders the cat came through the door, leapt and ended in her arms, but it kept its green eyes: it snarled rather than looking clouded. Dogs got the milky eyes in all three of our zombie trend dog renders.

Will my dog still look like my dog in the zombie trend?

The prompt asks to keep its breed, size, coat colour and markings. Our golden retriever stayed recognisable in both scenes. That is one breed; dogs with unusual markings have not been tested.

Can my pet hold the gun instead?

No. In the Pet version of the zombie trend the left photo is the person with the gun and the right photo is the dog or cat who turned.

Is the zombie pet video too scary for children?

There is no blood, but there is a close-up of bared teeth and white eyes, and a growl on the soundtrack. Watch it first. The ending is the happiest part: the pet in your arms in the sun.

How much is a zombie dog video?

The same as the people version of the zombie trend: 12 credits at 720p, 6 at 480p. There is no free trial or free preview. The smallest pack is 12 credits for $9.99, and a render that fails gives its credits back on its own.
