Halloween Zombie Video Ideas for Couples, Friends and Pets

A Halloween zombie video does not need makeup, a costume or a camera. Two photos give you a 15-second zombie trend film: a standoff in an empty farmhouse, a zombie with grey skin and clouded eyes, a gun that hits the floor, and a leap that turns into a hug in a sunny meadow. Make it in the generator: the left photo holds the gun, the right photo turns.

Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday, 31 October. Our test renders took 131 to 188 seconds each, so a film can still be made on the day. All the ideas below use the same zombie trend film with a different cast or frame; the frames shown are from our own test renders with AI-made people and an AI-made dog.

What every Halloween AI zombie trend video has in common

The zombie trend story is fixed: the standoff, the gun dropped to the floor, the leap, the meadow. Where the standoff happens is yours to pick from five worlds: a farmhouse, a ruined city street, a blizzard, an empty mall at night or a subway platform. There is no graveyard or party. You also choose who plays each part (two people, or a person and their dog or cat), the frame, and where you post it. Every film is 15 seconds, with sound and no text on screen.

Both casts as zombies, from our 16:9 renders of 9 October 2026: a person, and a golden retriever.

1. The couple standoff

The version everyone recognises from the zombie trend: a partner turns, and the gun drops to the floor. The zombie love story guide covers who should play which part.

2. Post both versions

Make the zombie trend film, press the ⇄ button to swap the two photos, and make it again. Post one on Halloween morning and the other at night: same pair, opposite roles. That is two renders and two charges.

3. The family dog turns

Choose Pet and put your dog or cat in the right photo. It comes through the doorway with milky eyes and matted fur and ends up in your arms in the sun, which makes this the least scary Halloween zombie trend post on the list. More in the zombie pet video guide.

4. Best friends or roommates

For the zombie trend, Couple mode takes any two people. Know the ending before you send it: a run, a hug, a spin and foreheads almost touching. Between friends it plays as a joke, which on Halloween is the idea.

5. A parent or grandparent turns

A parent or grandparent as the zombie, you as the one holding the gun. The meadow at the end turns a horror joke into something warm. Ask them first; it is their face in the close-up.

6. The party invite

Drop the zombie trend film into the group chat as the invitation. The generator puts no text on screen, so write the date and address in the message or add a caption in your editor.

7. Full screen for TikTok, Reels and Shorts

Choose 9:16 before you create and the zombie trend film fills a phone screen. The price is the same as 16:9, and tall frames get an extra line in the prompt that keeps the leap in the room. The three frames below are from our 9:16 render.

Four things to know before you post the AI zombie trend on Halloween

  • Your costume probably will not show. The prompt keeps faces and hair, not outfits: the one who turns gets torn, dusty clothes and then light summer clothes. We have not tested a photo in costume, so use the photo with the clearest face, not the best outfit.
  • It is spooky, not gory. Grey skin, clouded eyes, a snarl and a growl, and the prompt asks for no blood. Our renders still gave the zombie dark scratch marks and, in three of five, reddish stains on the shirt, so watch it before showing it to young children.
  • There is no song. The film comes with wind, breathing, a growl and soft piano. Add a Halloween sound in the app when you post.
  • Only use photos of people who said yes, and a parent or guardian’s consent for anyone under 18. Label the zombie trend post as AI-made.

FAQ

Can I make a Halloween zombie video for free?

No. There is no free trial or free preview. The smallest pack is 12 credits for $9.99, and a render that fails gives its credits back on its own.

How fast can I do the AI zombie trend on Halloween?

Our test renders took 131 to 188 seconds; the provider quotes up to about 5 minutes. Choosing photos takes longer than the render.

Can I change the setting to a graveyard or a Halloween party?

Not those. You can pick one of five worlds for the standoff (Farmhouse, Fallen City, Blizzard, Empty Mall, Night Subway); the memory at the end is always a sunny meadow.

Can I add the party date or a caption to the video?

Not in the generator: it puts no text on screen. Add a caption in TikTok, Instagram or your video editor after you download the MP4.

Can my kids be in the Halloween zombie video?

Our terms allow photos of anyone under 18 only with a parent or guardian’s consent. With the zombie close-up in the film, think about whether it suits the child before you make it.
